Drive ID diiferent while going through the flashing guide

System: Ubuntu 25.04
Drive: BU40N variant

I was working my way through the drive flashing guide and reached step six which should have an expected output of:

Found 1 drives(s)
00: /IOBDServices/D5D25996, /dev/rdisk3, /dev/rdisk3
HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_1.01_211910161032_MOFK6283224

But, when I run the command I get:

Found 1 drives(s)
00: dev_21:0, /dev/sr0, /dev/sr0
HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_1.05_212404231347_MO5P4285024

I tried to use "dev_21:0" to flash the drive but it appears to hang before doing anything. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

I was able to get around this by flashing it from my macbook
