LG WH14NS40 ready to flash?

Been using this drive with stock firmware for a little bit. I didn't have any issues with rips and it didn't seem to slow so flashing firmware felt unnecessary. Well, I finally hit a movie that won't rip - I think it has to do with region locking?

As far as I can tell this drive is okay to flash but would like someone smarter than me to verify.
Manufacture date looks good, SVC code is NS50. The one thing I wasn't sure about is the drive platform, but maybe I'm just misunderstanding that line in the guide, "2. Drive Platform MT1959<Most important in makemkv" viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634

Any tips for flashing would be appreciated too!

Per the 1st post of the Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025:

WH14NS40 on any Firmware directly to > WH16NS60 1.02MK

(HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin)

Current v1.05 FW is encrypted. Use the SDFtool Flasher.

That said, knowing the type of disc & how it failed (log output) would go a long way to determining the issue.

The disc in question was a Bluray disc of The Boondock Saints. Below is the info from MakeMKV

I'm attaching logs from MakeMKV as well.

It might be worth noting I'm also unable to play this movie in VLC, I'm met with a region lock message when I try. I thought that was odd seeing as I got this from the same place I get the rest of my movies- a local video buy & trade shop. I assume these two issues are related. Another interesting tidbit is that MakeMKV identifies two titles about the length of the movie, differing by less than a minute. "Extended Director's Cut" is listed in the special features, but you'd think that would be more than a few seconds longer, but I digress. One problem at a time.
