Hi All
I have hundreds of Blu-rays/DVDS I wish to rip onto my external HDDS (external HDD enclosure), and was wondering if I would be able to set up multiple Bluray drives ripping at the same time to watch via Plex on my Apple TV and multiple devices on Network.
What would be the best set up as I don't have any optical drive bays?
Would there be a external enclosure for multiple Optical drives that connect via USB C / Thunderbolt as a spare computer will be doing it during day and night?
What format would be best to stream via Plex for my apple TV box and other people remotely logging in to plex server?
Thanks
Multiple Blu ray drives ripping at once

Re: Multiple Blu ray drives ripping at once
i recommend the owc mercury pro even though pioneers stick out of it a bit and it works fine for lg/asus too
make sure to enable single drive more in settings
you can get a usb c to b3.0 cable if you want usb c but a is fine for most people
the default format makemkv outputs

Anything like a tower that I can store multiple drives and connect via USB like those old disk duplicators but for ripping cheers

I'm not aware of any, but you could plug multiple optical drive enclosures into a USB hub like this one: https://plugable.com/products/usbc-hub4asjaeger172004 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:46 amAnything like a tower that I can store multiple drives and connect via USB like those old disk duplicators but for ripping cheers
The OWC enclosure that Billycar11 mentioned comes with its own power supply, so you'd only need data from the USB. If the drive needs to be powered by USB, there are probably better, high power USB hubs.
