My old defective drive was scratching up some of my Blu-Rays, so I decided to bite the bullet and emailed Alex to see if I could buy a better one. He responded very quickly and was very easy to work with. I decided to get the LG BP50NB40 slim drive and after paying the invoice, he had it sent out. Once it arrived, I tested it on my Blu-Rays and it worked perfectly, just as advertised. I also appreciate how carefully packed the drive was with bubble wrap and cardboard, just to make sure the drive didn't get damaged in transit. Would definitely recommend buying from him if you're looking for a drive that just works!

Just purchased my second drive from Alex. I have been thrilled with my first drive and decided to purchase a back-up. Alex provides prompt and reliable service that I highly recommend!!!!

Ordered a slim drive and it came in yesterday. Set it up and ripped a couple of uhd blu-rays from out of box and no probs. Dealing with Alex was easy and a pleasure. You won't go wrong.

Alex was fantastic - we live near each other, and I got the drives super fast. Excellent tank-like enclosure, the drives read ANYTHING (even Loki Season 2!).

Update 2/21/25 - Due to unforeseen circumstances, I received responses as well as instructions from Alex regarding my drive and the problem has been resolved. I am very satisfied.
Initial problem 2/5/25: Faulty blu ray drive. No response from Alex.

Good day Alex, I bought 2 LG drives from you, those drives stop working again. I try to contact you through your email, I'm still waiting for your reply. Please help me to fix problem, cause I can't rip any BLU RAY, UHD at the moment. Less I forget, u sold those drives to me less than two months ago. Please help me to rectify the problem thanks.

Alex - I have been trying to reach you by text, phone (left voicemail), and emails. I paid 3/13 and you confirmed 3/17. USPS still shows "label created, awaiting item." I haven't heard from you since 3/17 after 4 texts, 4 emails, and 1 voicemail. I'm trying here as well. I know unforeseen things can happen - I just need to know what's up.
If anyone seeing this knows Alex, personally, please ping him on my behalf or contact me directly.
I will edit this post with any relevant update.
Edit 4/2 9:34a ET - I didn't put anything in my original for Alex to identify my order. Invoice 0499324, USPS tracking ends in 9492 to 43064. If that isn't enough info for you, Alex, I'm happy to share more.

Look, I *want* to believe he is a decent guy based on a huge amount of posts in support, but there is also a large number of complaints. I still have some hope that he will come through and that something is taking up considerable bandwidth for him at the moment, but I also have to say it is VERY ANGERING that I have spent $150 and got immediate radio silence!!!
I can only believe two things: 1) Alex has something big going on, and since he is a 1-man op, it's just going to take time, or 2) Alex got out of this business (that seemed to be where he was headed at the end of 2024 based on some posts?) and someone has hijacked his accounts and is just taking our money. The latter is VERY hard to believe as that would require getting full access to his email, phone (RCS chats, not SMS), and Venmo. Possible, but WAY unlikely.
I appreciate the 3 people who are in the same boat and came here to post. I had someone PM me that I should post this on Reddit as these complaints often get taken down. This post should not be taken down. It is a fair and accurate accounting of what has happened. I paid a vendor for a product advertised right here. I should be able to state in the same place my exact experience.

I'm in the same boat. Paid on 3/17. 4 emails and a message through PayPal. No response tracking still sitting at printed. Order number #0499448. Alex please respond or let us know what is going on before I have to dispute this with my card.

I would love to give a great review but unfortunately things are not happening with Alex. I'm sure he's a good guy, from the emails we've exchanged. The problem I'm having is I paid $149.75 USD plus shipping for a Asus BW-16D1HT blu-ray back on March 18 and it hasn't been shipped as of today April 3. Sent a couple emails and haven't gotten a reply from him. Is he that busy?

I have to chime the same bell as my fellow writers above. I too made a purchase for a BD drive in mid march (#0499447) and paid it through Paypal. Since that point the email communication stopped and only shipping label got made.
Alex did say in his last email that his acquaintance had an medical emergency around that time so hopefully he is just dealing with that and our orders will progress soon.
Still for the moment I feel I must say that avoid this seller.

If Alex has a medical emergency to deal with that's understandable and I hope all is well, but he should post something stating that he is either not able to get to orders at this time or have some sort of timeline when he will be able to do so.
