Are there dumps of Pioneer firmwares?
Are there dumps of Pioneer firmwares?
Just curious if there is a way to, or if anyone has, firmware dumps for these drives, specifically the old (before 12/22) firmware for the BDR-212V. Any information on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Alright, as long as someone out there has it I'm happy. Thanks again for letting me know!Coopervid wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2025 12:11 amYes but confidential.dnsrs wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 11:58 pm Just curious if there is a way to, or if anyone has, firmware dumps for these drives, specifically the old (before 12/22) firmware for the BDR-212V. Just curious, why are firmwares secret?
Re: Are there dumps of Pioneer firmwares?
Just think! A company that sells UHD drives at a premium doesn't like to have (crippled) cheaper drives to be upgraded.
Re: Are there dumps of Pioneer firmwares?
I've been wondering about this as well.
I've been unable to find/accertain any UHD movie "out-of-box" capable drives from Pioneer. Are there any such optical drives for PC from Pioneer, or anyone else?

Your only real option is to buy from one of the sellers who advertize on this forum.RadMan wrote: Sun Mar 16, 2025 7:01 pm I've been unable to find/accertain any UHD movie "out-of-box" capable drives from Pioneer. Are there any such optical drives for PC from Pioneer, or anyone else?

Or buy one that can be reflashed.... it's just Coopervid's comment seemed to insinuate that there might be other options.
