Hi folks! Thank you to the mod who kindly gave me the key to keep trying this product before purchase. I did manage to successfully burn a disk of the Twilight Zone blu-rays, and I appreciate it.
I purchased these blu-rays because they had extras-- director commentaries, etc. But I am still having trouble figuring out how to find these options to watch or burn.
I'm not really sure how to read these files when the disk is in. This is what it shows when I click on the disk- Just gives me three options-- AACS, BDMV, CERTIFICATE. If I click on BDMV it says there is no way to play this, it cannot be read.
When I click on AACS, it gives me a list of documents ending in .cer, .tbl, .lst., etc-- s you can see from the photos. If I click on the CERTIFICATE, it gives me the choice of BACKUP and a file ending in .bdmv
Where are all these special features hidden, and how do I get them recognised when I burn a disk in MakeMVK?
I'm sorry if these are really basic questions. I used to burn stuff a decade ago, but it seems things have gotten far more complicated since I haven't done it for a while. I appreciate your patience with me.
Is there a youtube video that goes through this current MakeMKV on an apple device? I'm still not even sure what I'm clicking half the time. Thank you!

Re: ripping extras on blu-ray? (M4 imac)
I assume by 'burn' you really mean 'create a .mkv file'.
In MakeMKV's preferences, on the General tab, make sure 'Expert Mode' is checked.
In any case, open MakeMKV. Then click File -> Open files. Navigate to the directory of your backup and select the BDMV item. That will open the backup in MakeMKV.
It is an over simplification, but at this point, find the special feature items you're looking for, name them appropriately, and click the MakeMKV button in the upper right.

If, in Finder, you really want to see what's inside a BDMV, right click on it and pick 'Show Package Contents'.

Thank you so much for the replies.
I did manage to mark it as expert mode as instructed. Not sure what that did, but I clicked it.
I tried to do as instructed to select the BDMV files. They are greyed out and I cannot select them. When I select the BDMV file I get this error.
When I go find the back up to find the BDMV file, it is greyed out as well.
I'm really sorry if these are really basic and dumb questions. I'm quite new to this and had no idea it would be this difficult. I just wanted to Watch Twilight Zone (with captions on, I'm deaf-- that's the one thing I really NEED) and the audio commentaries and specials. But I can't even see the files to figure out which are the specials or interviews or commentaries because it only gives me the options screenshotted in the first message above.
I didn't realise it would be such a difficult process. So I'm sorry for the trouble.
If you are able to help from here, I would be grateful.

Re: ripping extras on blu-ray? (M4 imac)
Hi! I figured it out! When playing the burned episodes on VLC, the audio commentaries are under different audio options. So it burned the entire episode with the commentaries available, or just the regular dialogue. Thank you so much for your patience with me working through all of this. I appreciate it!
