Fatal error occurred - House Of The Dragon Season 1 Disc 3
Re: Fatal error occurred - House Of The Dragon Season 1 Disc 3
Disc read errors. Clean it and/or try a different drive.
Re: Fatal error occurred - House Of The Dragon Season 1 Disc 3
This is not Disc 3, but rather the first disc. I did not want to create a new post, for something that seems to be a drive issue to me?
Could this possibly also have to do with an drive that is too old?
Buffalo Optical Drive (BD-RE - BRXL-PC6U2)
What would be the best Blu-Ray drive (Europe (EU:Germany/Austria/The Netherlands)) external or internal I could get?
And perhaps, as we are on the topic, UHD?

Re: Fatal error occurred - House Of The Dragon Season 1 Disc 3
I just answered a similar question here: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=167620#p167620
Asmcom could sell you an even better Pioneer drive, but I think they have yet to get started after the holidays at the end of the year. Hopefully they'll be back soon.
Re: Fatal error occurred - House Of The Dragon Season 1 Disc 3
A quick follow-up.
Disc one saved Episode 2 without problems, as I saw the comment about cleaning I cleaned the almost brand new disc and then I was able to save Episode 1 too.
I had issues with "Paddington 2" too, and clean that one too.
Cleaning the disc will always have to be step 1, before asking
Thank you for your answer. I will be looking into that, as I am unsure how long the drive will continue to work, I've digitised most of my DVDs from my collection, but now I am starting with my Blu-Rays and perhaps the UHDs as well.
