Dear Coopervid, thank you! It worked for the BD-RW BDR-XD05.
The reason I mentioned the BDW-PR1EPDVPP100: apparently it is used to write (normal) Blu ray's in certain rigs, but the reading capability of the drive for the (normal) blu rays would be turned off according to google searches?
On the other hand, when I check the settings of the drive for blu rays then it says R/W "switched on"...? So I would expect it to read or see blu rays but it never does.
It reads DVD's fine.
If you have any suggestions to make the blu ray burner also read blu rays I would be happy to hear them.
Thanks again for the BD-RW BDR-XD05!

AFAIK there is no compatible firmware for your other drive.

Ok, sorry to come back to this again, but:
I read on another forum that the BDW-PR1EPDVPP100 in some cases has the PIONEER BDR-209 firmware.
Is it possible to write that firmware or a similar/compatible firmware to the drive?
Would be gratefull if I could try.

Greetings!

Looks like I am potentially in luck here as my device is near exact as many of the others commenting in this thread. I was looking over the "Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025" post just above this, and saw you (Coop) as an author and loads of info there, but then found this fresh chain and wasn't sure if you were supplying the others more targeted/specific information or not via PM. Would you be so kind as to sharing your instruction via PM with me also? TYVM
