last man standing season1 copy protection

Season1 of last man standing has some weird copy protection.

The disc itself has an imprint on it that it is copy protected. If you stick it in your drive with makemkv it will hang the program. It does not even get past the part of recognizing the disc. The drive will stop spinning and the program is hung. Anyone else experience this? I tried to enable debug logging but again since it doesnt even appear to recognize the disc and the hand is immediate there is nothing to log.

I've had the same problem with Disk 1 of the set. Disks 2 and 3 worked fine.

Credit where credit is due: Bill_W posted this answer November 2022.

"I figured it out. I changed the mode to CellTrim from Auto. My understanding was that the program does that by default when you cancel out of the first method, but the program just hangs forever for me, no matter how many times I click cancel. On changing to CellTrim, it reads the disc with no trouble."

I changed from Auto to CellTrim as suggested and was able to get past udf_get_node allocation problem..Disk extracted correctly.
