i dont but there was not much of interest up there
it was an s13UBK
Thank you Very much.
it gives me a place to start so I can dig through data sheets until a drive gets here.
That will NOT help the users here who can't solder chips.

Hello. I'm having the same issue with a too current Firmeware version on the Pionner BDR-S13U-X, I have Revision 1.04 from 12-12-2022. I bought the drive from Amazon a few months ago because it was the "best" according to many reviews, but now I'm seeing the huge limitation with UHD 4k movies. Any fix in sight yet? Thank you!
Nah sorry man if you can return it.

I have those with old fw if you want one.
See below
Thank you for replying. I'm hopeful there is a fix at some point. By the time I posted initially, I was past the Amazon return window, so I'm stuck with the drive.

Ooo, exciting... :D. In theory, this drive can support LibreDrive because its firmware pre-dates December 2022.

Please Do Not Update This Drive's Firmware!

In practice, you're almost certainly going to need to ask Mike to proceed with enabling LibreDrive.

I received a Pioneer external BD drive for xmas however I understand it can not currently be flashed with libredrive as the firmware is 1.03 and at 22-12-12. Is the Pioneer firmware issue still actively being worked on at this time or has it fallen off the radar?

Drive Information
OS device name: F:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-X13U
Revision: 1.03
Serial number: CGDL300295UC
Firmware date: 2022-12-12
Bus encryption flags: 1B
Highest AACS version: 77

Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-212V
Revision: 1.02
Firmware date: 2022-05-31

Most likely a power problem since the enclosure is very power hungry. Connect o USB-C if possible or to a powered USB hub.
