Best way to find out what forced subtitles to use

I have a few blurays that I watch in their foreign language and have it in English subtitles, these disc have a quite a few english tracks so I was wondering what's the best way to determine what track I need, so far I rip all subtitles and use VLC to go through the tracks and then use Mkvtoolnix to remove the tracks I don't want. Is this the best way to do it?

If the tracks are in the same language, there isn't much hope for a "simple way" to determine which is "right" for all needs. There will be two subtitle tracks (generally), "everything", and "only important stuff". Who determines what is important?
