reset_9999, late night devil is one of the few cm 4.0 movies. how is the PQ performance on the ugoos? you said that the conversation was oversatured at te time.

first you should verify your RPU because if it was done with makemkv , it's probably wrong.
CMV4.0 works great on the ugoos and the problem with ''the conversation'' bluray is the VERY strong brightening trims that make the image brighter than the HDR master.

Sorry I'm quite confused about this new makemkv issue. Which video framecount are you talking about?
Say I want to inject DV from web version to bluray version and already generated RPUs of both using your dovi_script, which framecounts do I have to look at here?

You mean ripping that movie from the bluray disc using makemkv creates issues?

yes, mostly German discs.

recent problematic releases:

-Late night with the Devil
-Soul eater

if any of these were muxed in makemkv, they are missing half of the DV metadata and flickering is noticeable for the whole movie.

Not sure if this matters, but makeMKV did recently have another update on Sep 30th, in case it fixed these issues:

Does anyone know if there is a Mac app that converts HDR10+ to Dolby Vision?

Have used Nekno's "DV7 to DV8" MacOS app (as the name implies, to convert DV7 to DV8). It works well. But am trying to find something for HDR10+ to DV. Have seen Reset's DoVi scripts, but unfortunately don't have Windows.

I'm not sure about Mac options, but you could use the tools with a Windows virtual machine, too.
