New LG WH16NS40 won't update

I just got a LG WH16NS40 with a manufacturing date of 2020, which should be fine, based on the list here - viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634

It came with the 1.04 firmware, but it doesn't seem to be taking the 1.05 firmware I downloaded from this site. It says success after I run the command, but MakeMKV then reports the drive is running 1.04.

Sorry, new to this. I've searched the forum about this drive and can't find much. What part am I missing?

You mean the enclosure? I'm using the Vantec NexStar DX2, which is in the list of approved enclosures for flashing.

Use the SDFTool Flasher and flash the drive to WH16NS60 1.02-MK which is the recommended firmware for your model.
