Audio track issues with ripped MKV files
I’ve noticed that some audio tracks are missing or incorrect in my ripped MKV files. The video plays fine, but the audio track doesn’t match what was on the original disc. Has anyone experienced similar problems?
Re: Audio track issues with ripped MKV files
Insufficient information. What you get in the MKV files depends on options, some of which are set in configuration files that we don't always look at.
It is possible to tell MakeMKV to rip the "best audio", which sometimes grabs the 5.1 commentary track instead of the 2.0 movie track. And some movies have different audio, depending on which video file you select, like movies that have Japanese audio on one selection, English on another, rather than both in the same file, selectable.
I have a selection criteria to grab ALL audio and subtitle tracks, which works most of the time, but some movies still come up with weird stuff.
