My Bluray device is unable to read 2 blurays

Hello. I've got an old bluray writer that I've been using with Makemkv for years to rip my son's discs. Today it read a couple of DVDs fine, but could not read the Blurays - Finding Nemo and Shrek the Third. No read errors or anything, it just made clicking noises for a while and then ejected the disc.

Should I be thinking of replacing this device now? I'm wondering if there is something about newer bluray discs that this older device isn't compatible with.

I just realized that I had made a very similar post earlier this year. Due to the Pioneer bluray device not reading these discs even after cleaning, looking like my only option is to get a new bluray device.

The first thing to try is to gently clean the discs.
