#1 Post by percijim@hotmail.com » Fri Aug 23, 2024 12:15 pm

have just tried to use Makemkv but the system appear to not know how to Decrypt it.

Trying to enclose Dump file - "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached."

TGZ files get emailed to svq@makemkv.com . The name of the file can be posted in topics like this, but the file itself is useless on the board.

MKB20_v77_Silence_of_the_Lambs_UHD_4FBC.tgz
The latest KEYDB.cfg file contains this entry:

Code: Select all

0x14ED3C22046BDACA7B769F03F7A346E8458E498E = Silence of the Lambs UHD | D | 2024-05-20
Does copying this file into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and then restarting MakeMKV help?

Given the date on this entry it likely refers to the older Kino Silence of the Lambs disc. The UK Arrow UHD has just started shipping in the past week.

Theoretically, the date is for the Unit_Key_RO.inf on the physical disk, which would correspond to when the disk was authored. I have no idea how a date of May 2024 would fit into this picture, and would simply suggest that people try updating their KEYDB.cfg file to see if it works :|.

OK, so the KEYDB.cfg does contain the key for the 4FBC disk. Thanks for confirming.
