ASUS BW-16D1X-U - Flashable?

Fairly new to the 'UHD friendly drive' scene so still learning!

Basically I'm looking for a drive that I can rip CD's, Blu-Rays and UHD Discs for backup with a high success rate but struggling to find what would be best to buy here in the U.K. The drive itself would be connected to a HP Omen Laptop running Windows 11, any advice would be appreciated or if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Search on Amazon for Verbatim 43888. But beware it is power hungry and if you have issues with your laptop's ports buy a powered USB hub.

I take it this drive wouldn't need flashing and works out of the box?

My laptop does have issues occasionally with one of the usb ports, but I also have a usb c thunderbolt connection on my laptop if that could be used?

With regards to a powered USB hub would you recommend something like this off Amazon:-

Yes, that's the drive. It should come with a USB cable and USB-C adapter.

If you use a USB-C port you should be fine without a hub.

I'm not sure about that hub but it's been suggested previously that a high powered hub (minimum of 35w) be used.

I have ordered the drive today through Amazon so will try it with my USB C thunderbolt connection and see how I get on, if I have problems I will order me one of these powered usb hubs:-
