Which LG drive to buy?
I have a choice between the WH16NS40 or WH14NS40. I don't really care about 4K and I am not spending a small fortune on a drive just because. I just need another ripping drive since my very old extra BD drive bit the dust the other day.

Same junk and it can be flashed to either firmware you like.

Why not buy a Pioneer?
