New WP50NB40 - UHD Ripping Errors

Post by csomebody1 »

I have a new WP50NB40 which I am trying to use to rip the Back to the Future 4K disks, but it doesn't seem to be working.

I flashed the drive to BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03-MK and then to BU40N 1.00 using this tool - viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22896

Did I choose the wrong firmware or make a mistake?

Code: Select all

Drive Information
OS device name: \Device\CdRom0
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BU40N
Revision: 1.00
Serial number: SIK04O42F0545
Firmware date: 2116-12-20 15:28

Drive platform: MT1959
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.00
DVD all regions: Yes

It looks like your drive doesn't get enough power via USB. You should try another USB port or use an active hub with its own power supply. And BTW - you should read your PM regarding your Pioneer drive.

Ok, I'll see if a USB hub with it's own power supply works. Thanks for the suggestion!

I was able to rip two other UHD disks - The Meg and Rango, but none of the Back to the Future disks seem to work.
