New LG WH16NS40 flashed to WH16NS60 1.02

Post by brewerbjb »

I just bought a new WH16NS40 and flashed it to WH16NS60 1.02 but I am having trouble even ripping regular blu-rays. MakeMKV will start and recognize the drive, but about 1/4 of the way through progress just stops and the remaining time keeps climbing higher. I'm not sure if I have a defective drive or did something wrong flashing. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be so helpful.

Fw is not the issue
It's the discs or the drive

Start by cleaning the disc before trying to rip it again.
Cheers :D

FIgured it out, the power supply that comes with the Vantec CB-ST00U3 isn't enough for the drive.
