I'm not seeing ANY new UHD titles getting keys and even trying to connect to the server. This is what is starting to worry me. I rely on this software for actual purposes, not just for entertainment. This could honestly hurt a lot of people if things aren't working correctly anymore, even when behind a VPN

the latest hk update was about a week ago i dont think its time to be worried
and HKs have been downloading fine for me no issues contacting the server

so I think its time we admit theres something wrong.
I can rename my private_data file and the program will try to download a new one, it will connect, it will start downloading, it will get to about 400kb, then stop with the error "automatic downloading failed or is disabled" which it isnt. it is definetly able to connect, its able to download, but something then stops it.

for the record I have made certain I can connect to the server, I even have a vpn that I tried and I can still connect, but again have the exact same issue.

Anyone else?

These are both older 4K discs that shouldn't really require anyone on the latest version 1.17.6 to even have to access the latest HK. In fact, how did you make it download the latest SDF? We need to know this. It could help us try to rip discs that have dump files we've submitted.

you just delete privatedata.tar but this is not recommended unless your really having issues and are using it to troubleshoot.
i wasn't saying they are new discs i was just showing the key server is not down as above people were saying makemkv key server was down and they are asking me to wire shark the url for them its hidden for a reason so not posting it.
currently there has not been a key update since 2/7 i believe i test drives everyday so just over a week.

1: It isnt working.
2: You still havnt provided the new urls that need to be whitelisted.
3: I previously posted the EXACT problem and you completely ignored it.

The SDF works, the HK does not. These are 2 totally separate things that then combine into 1 file. For the record, once again, this is the link to the SDF file: https://www.makemkv.com/svq/sdf.bin
If you click this link and it downloads something, take that file and put it into your C:\Users\[Your User Name Here]\.MakeMKV\ folder, rename your _private_data.tar to something like _private_data-old.tar. Open MakeMKV, watch as it unpacks the SDF into a brand new _private_data.tar file. Then try to open one of your new movies, it will then try to download a new HK file, and I promise you, it wont do it correctly. Once again, for those of you that refuse to listen, the OLD HK file is around 5,400 KB, the NEW one that is failing to properly download is around 400kb, so the final file size of your combined NEW _private_data.tar file will sit at between 2000 kb to 2400 kb. THIS IS WRONG. Get it through your heads. Old file big. New File Small. You can even extract the .tar file with 7zip and look inside to SEE that the new one has less content than the old one. There is something wrong with the current HK.

Nothing's working for me either.

If I don't use a VPN, I can't resolve the name.
If I use the IP address directly without VPN, I get a 403 error.
If I use a VPN, I get a 502 error, either with the IP address or the domain.

So for anyone that is getting it to work, please let us know how.

HK was updated today now so all can try the new discs they were likely added

Yes. It's working now. I had to use a VPN though to access the HK server.
