Nightmare Before Christmas UHD Dump

Not sure if it matters, but I purchased the Steelbook version. I cant imagine the mastering would be different between the Steelbook and the regular 4k disc.

As of this time, the software has downloaded the latest database and I can now rip the 4k disc to mkv.

Experiencing what issue? It looks like everyone can rip it now. If you are getting errors, show them and we may be able to help.

I think it may just be a faulty disc. I couldn't burn it from MakeMKV, DVDFab, play it from VLC or my PS5. I am going to return it and get another.

Disc isn't faulty as the disc plays fine in my xbox one s.
The disc is also in the keydb file I put in .makemkv but it still doesn't rip.
The application also doesn't want to update the database in the app despite being allowed online access.
Any fix?

Are you getting the "Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed." message? Some helpful entity in the network between your computer and the domain MakeMKV serves hashed keys from might be blocking your access. hkdata.crabdance.com or hkdata.fairuse.org not found

Theres no message at all in terms of the database updating.

So, I did more research.
Updated the hosts file, did nothing.
Then I decided to disable my VPN.
It worked.
It seems Mullvad (even if you allow the site) is blocking the apps function to go to that site even if you use split tunneling.

Then whatever key was in there didn't match your disc variant.
