Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
Submitted 9DF6, best buy's steelbook appears to have different encryption for whatever reason
Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
These two entries have just appeared in the online VUK database:
They only differ by DiscID, which strikes me as odd . How many iterations of this Blu-Ray could there be already? Oh, and the comment at the end of one looks like "copy and paste", so really no idea!
Code: Select all

Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
BB steel book ripped fine for me yesterday.
Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
I put them there. And they do indeed share the unit keys. It happens a lot.MrPenguin wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 7:28 pmThese two entries have just appeared in the online VUK database:They only differ by DiscID, which strikes me as odd . P.S. The metadata (disc label, disc name, date, size, etc) ARE identical between the disc versions
Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
I think I got a defective disk from Amazon. Decrypted, but a ton of read errors.
Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
You mean you bought this Blu-Ray twice??? (Were you expecting a different ending the second time ?)
I was actually wondering how the DiscIDs could be different, because wouldn't that imply that this release has multiple master copies?
Curiously, I've also observed different and unrelated Blu-Rays sharing the same Media Key, which just strikes me as lazy.

Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
MKB20_v77_Oppenheimer_3CB4 still doesn't work sadly
Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
How did you come to the conclusion that I bought it twice? Lol no that's not at all what I did. But given this is not the anydvd forum the explanation doesn't belong here for what I did and how I know the two disc id's (the one I own and one someone else owns) have the same unit keys and therefore allowed me to create two keydb entries. But trust me, I know for a fact they work and I didn't buy multiple copies lmaoMrPenguin wrote:You mean you bought this Blu-Ray twice??? (Were you expecting a different ending the second time ?)

The answer to your question about different discid's is simple. Each disc has a different volume unique id that's used to encrypt the unit keys. The disc id is a hash of the encrypted unit keys. And therefore are different when the same unit keys are encrypted with a different key.

P.s. there are variants that don't share the same unit keys as the disc I own. Someone else published that key after I pushed mine and the variant that shared my unit key. Fun fun. Lol

Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
Lots of my UHDs haven't been working and not able to download the Keys. Saw a post where a guy said he used a VP because his network wasn't allowing Mkv to download the file. It worked!
Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
same here.
Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
Because you must have had two different physical "Oppenheimer" disks in your possession to create two entries.
Is this because UHD disks use AACS 2.0? For all of the non-UHD disks I own, the DiscID is the SHA1 hash of the AACS/Unit_Key_RO.inf file rather than the keys themselves. (I don't know the format of that file.)
But didn't you prove that both of those disks have the same unit key anyway?
