I'm trying to rip this this disc but I get an error saying the volume key is unknown and it fails to open the disc. I sent an email to the email mentioned in another post, with the dump info of the disc about a week ago but still not working.

Help please.

you may have an issue with getting keys does makemkv say anything about hk?

I just got Santa Clause - The Movie 4k today and that's a recent release and it ripped no problem. Same with Batman - Mask of the Phantasm. All other discs have ripped no problem. I sometimes see HK when I try to open the disc but no errors regarding that. Is there a volume key for Batman The Long Halloween?

Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT PRESENT' occurred while issuing SCSI command A30..0020..03F to device 'SG:dev_21:5'

Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive

LibreDrive compatible drive is required to open this disc - video can't be decrypted.

that's usually a power error the drive is rebooting during opening the disc and leaves libredrive mode when it restarts makemkv already thinks its in the right mode so its confused why the drive is asking for a key exchange

i recommend you get a high powered usb hub

usually one of these 2 things lack of keys
or you are unable to download the new keys
that can have many causes
recommended steps are
change dns
disable geo-blocking for Russia
usa a vpn

I just got The Fugitive 4K and have the same issue. Is anyone creating volume keys?

There's a UHD FAQ that gives an overview of how submitting dump files works and how the resultant keys are downloaded when necessary by your installation of MakeMKV. It offers insight into how to determine if keys are being properly downloaded or if something at your ISP or local network security is blocking access.

If your ISP is blocking access, most VPNs allow you to pick an exit point from the VPN that's different. Hopefully you can find one that allows MakeMKV to download the necessary keys.
