Hi,
I know this is a very common issue but I have read errors on a particular disc. I read the page related to this from the link in the GUI. This suggests trying to copy the files off the disc directly and then it goes on to say "there is a fast and simple way to convert such copy into encrypted MakeMKV backup that can be opened by MakeMKV later. See our forum for details.".
I am having no success in finding that reference - can anyone help? There is an article about "if you have rip problems, read this first" - that references a "FAQ / Item 8" that sounds like it may be the answer. However, the FAQ page is empty or cannot be opened (http://www.makemkv.com/faq/). Can anyone provide a direct link that works?
Thanks in advance if anyone can help with those questions
Graeme

But more specifically for item 8: https://web.archive.org/web/20210731112 ... faq/item/8
Re: Help with read error workaround
@Sunoo: These links do not explain how to create the "encrypted MakeMKV backup" from the copied files and how to open it with MakeMKV.
Re: Help with read error workaround
The ask was for a working link to FAQ #8, I provided it.

I'm looking for the same thing - This suggests trying to copy the files off the disc directly and then it goes on to say "there is a fast and simple way to convert such copy into encrypted MakeMKV backup that can be opened by MakeMKV later. See our forum for details.".
