only 2 people in the world probably know the full list of drives that its possible on but the gist of it for now is if the drive platform is 8301+ it probably can see UHD when flashed.
but that does not mean it will be problem free some have lower quality picks ups and they wont rip BD100s or even BD66 marty found this out first hand so even if your drive can see a UHD does not mean it is useful for UHD.
Yep, the BDR-212DBK when cross-flashed to BDR-S12UHT could not successfully rip any BD100 discs I tried. It could rip BD66 but wasn't successful every time either.
Honestly, I wouldn't even attempt to use a 9+ year old drive for UHD, even if it did end up being capable. Far better off getting a new drive for UHD.
