Forget SGX. Rip the movie with either an official or friendly drive. Play with VLC or MPC.
man i wish people would forget SGX everyday i get an email telling me they need SGX to rip/play UHDS.
the implementation was so flawed no intel boards had native HDMI 2.0 from 7th-10th gen so that means no HDR
there were boards that used the cpus DisplayPort link to convert to HDMI 2.0 but then you miss out on lossless audio and bit streaming it to your AVR.
and you have to have a specific version of windows 10 for the stupid powerdvd sgx test to pass all new version of 10 it would fail even if sgx was working in the intel test app

There are some good things that came out of sgx. Because it's so flawed a group managed to extract powerdvd's host cert and use it to play uhds in Linux in vlc. Lol

They are technically the same and you can flash to make it either an ASUS or a LG. Any reason you don't consider a Pioneer?

I should check if they are available in Italy. Anyway, Alex Coluzzi told me that the LG is not so good and it will not last a lot.
The Pioneer are those on the 1st page?

1 drive missing from the 1st page for Pioneer is BDR-XD08UMB-S which also works out of the box (without any firmware updates) with MakeMKV

Guys, I have a problem. My LG WH16NS40 has arrived today but my Lenovo laptop with Win11 doesn't recognize it. I am using this as adapter https://www.amazon.it/Inateck-Adattator ... b_title_ce

What should I do?

Get another one. Yours is only for SSD and HDD.

The disk player works, it means the tray is working but it doesn't get recognized by win11.
So you think that is just the adapter?

Yes. And I had told you to check the adapter on page one which is the same I posted the Amazon link for. Yours doesn't work with optical drives.

no point flashing it but is the nb52 1.03 not out there? i have it if not
also fyi the pioneer is slower just so you know 4x vs 6x about 30 mins extra on a bd100
Any chance you can upload the NB52 "DE" firmware? The LG website only goes to NB50.

there is no DE for it only MK and stock.
i dont really see a need for it seems like only people who want to return things want it and there no point flashing it back to stock to return it they dont check. so its a waste of your time and my google drive space.
and its completely not needed as BP50NB52 still does not see UHDs
and this is the UHD guide not the return my drive to stock guide
