Where are the previous builds?quietvoid wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 12:42 amI've made new builds available here: https://github.com/quietvoid/xbmc/releases/tag/v21-dovi
There are both 32 bits and 64 bits APKs.
The only change from the last build is that the new build also fixes grey letterbox bars when playing cropped Dolby Vision videos for FireTV.

Which builds? The one from 2021-01-23? It was replaced.
I'm not keeping multiple builds up on there.

The version before the current one as from the previous few posts it seems the new version doesn't work very well.

There's no difference except that it doesn't crash.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 8:26 pmThe version before the current one as from the previous few posts it seems the new version doesn't work very well.
I don't have the previous version anymore.

can you please confirm if you can FF/RW on the WebOS media player app with TS/m2ts files?RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 8:30 pmthen it's a jellyfin bug because you can FF/RW on the plex app with TS/m2ts files.afarvvik wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:29 amthanks for the reply @RESET_9999.
i'll check out the mp4 workflow.
TS/M2ts container is not letting me FF/RW at all. Jellyfin just freezes, the webos player says "function not available right now". is there a particular tsmuxer version that needs to be used?
Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi all, I'll launch a question to @RESET_9999 and every other member of this forum.
There's a guy in other forum of my country where I'm in who claims that the FireTV Stick 4K (2018 version) can now playback Dolby Vision FEL titles.
As far as I know there's no FireTV that could playback FEL files using the EL layer. From what I have guessed and taking into account that the guy is basing his claim on viewings with naked eye, this device is playing FEL titles as MEL (without using EL layer), what already has a great quality as is.
Could anybody confirm or deny this statement?
Thanks!

He's probably talking about quietvoid's new kodi build that can play P7 as P8. Read just a couple comments above.yossSP wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 10:39 pmHi all, I'll launch a question to @RESET_9999 and every other member of this forum.

Thanks! You said that you don't use Plex for Kodi - what do you generally use to playback Dolby Vision files on Kodi?quietvoid wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 12:42 amI've made new builds available here: https://github.com/quietvoid/xbmc/releases/tag/v21-dovi

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi there , I have installed one of nightly master last builds on my firestick 4k and now I get DV when playing a mkv file .
Though when checking color standard output in dev mode in the firestick 4k , i get bt2020_10_hdr10 , when in Disney or Netflix app I get bt2020_10_dovi , which was what I would expect to see also in kodi when playing mkv.
Codec states Dolby vision and my tv gets the flag for DV , however color output in the firestick dev mode looks wrong .
Any thoughts ?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hello,
Your kodi build makes me think about a plex plugin that would convert, on the fly, dvhe.07.06 BL+EL+RPU mkv remuxes to p8 ts.
Would it be technically possible ?
If it is the case, it would be a great solution for lg [c8 -> c2] oled tvs.
for lg c8 / c9, dual layer p7 mp4 remuxes are the best solution, in particular for FEL titles.
I'm ok to make those when there is effectively EL content but for RPU only titles, on the fly plex conversion would be very handy.
in the TOOLS_READ_ME.txt (Dolby-Vision-Scripts @RESET_9999)set PLEX=download/install plex server and get the transcoder from the installation folder (you can uninstall it once you got the files)
doesn't imply the plex plugin I suggest, right ?
