Merge MKV files?

Is there a way to merge mkv files? I have a couple of movies that are 2 disk sets, I'd like to merge them into a single mkv. Is that possible? If so, how?

The MKVToolNix tools can append one .mkv file to another.

Probably ffmpeg could do it as well.
