MakeMKV is installed in the default location, but when I select the drive in SDFtool Flasher, I get a "Input String was not in a correct format" error. Any suggestions on how I should proceed? I don't want to do something wrong and brick my drive.

Thank you!
Your Buffalo comes with encrypted BU14 firmware. You can flash your drive with BU40N 1.03-MK and either leave it on this firmware or then flash to another, such as BU10 etc...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Version 1.3.5 worked perfectly and now my drive is flashed with BU40N 1.03-MK and MakeMKV is ripping UHDs properly. Thanks for turning around the fixed version so quickly.
Is there a benefit to flashing the drive from 1.03-MK to BU10 or another firmware? I searched around the forum but couldn't find any information on benefits that other firmware versions would bring to this drive other than compatibility with movie playback software programs. I'm not planning on doing anything else with this drive except for ripping discs with MakeMKV.

If you are only ripping with MakeMKV there is no benefit in flashing another firmware. Stick with 1.03-MK.ShootTheCore wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 2:10 amVersion 1.3.5 worked perfectly and now my drive is flashed with BU40N 1.03-MK and MakeMKV is ripping UHDs properly. Re: SDFtool Flasher
Nevermind below, apparently I'm unable to read and I had to use RECOVERY option with SDFtool
I successfully cross flashed my BP55EB40 to BP60NB10 using HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.bin from latest custom firmware pack.
I have another question: should I still reflash drive with BP60NB10 1.00 MK hybrid firmware as I've seen it is widely recommended or should I stay on BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.bin which I already flashed. I don't have any UHD discs yet to test.
I'm trying to cross flash my BP55EB40 to BP60NB10 for UHD support, but I'm not sure where I go wrong.

SDFtool confirms successful flash, but drive still reports itself as BP55EB40 and nothing seems to be changed.
Drive full model is BP55EB40 with SVC code EB52

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Is this relevant or did this only apply to the update listed right above it? Just bought an LG BP50NB40 with SVC NB52 so digging through lots of documentation before I start. For the moment, to flash the BP50NB40 SVC:NB52, using the latest SDFtool Flasher, follw the steps below:

Re: SDFtool Flasher
This looks like the right tool for me, however, I can't flash my drive. The error message is that I don't have the right platform (MT1959). When I check the platform with MakeMKV, it tells me that the platform is MT1959. Any idea what the mistake could be?

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Your drive is already libredrive enabled, so no need to flash it.MeyroNW wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 2:59 pmThis looks like the right tool for me, however, I can't flash my drive. Re: SDFtool Flasher
Thanks for your fast reply Marty, but why then do I get the following error message in Anydvd HD?
Re: SDFtool Flasher
Your version of Makemkv is outdated. Please update.
And if you tried SDFTool flasher - the same reason applies.
