reset_9999 what is the command for my LG C9 oled? it's a mkv file. i've downloaded the last version of you're tool now.
TS:
4-2-2 ... this workflow now automatically mux to TS. (you can be disable the muxing)

MP4 (not recommended):
7-1-4 and if it doesnt work like on the C8, then 7-2-5

Someone should tell the mp4box devs that it cannot mux coreless 7.1 EC3 track properly. The audio stutter and it's probably exactly the same problem tsMuxer had before the latest version.
The coreless 7.1 atmos muxed by mp4box 2.1-DEV-rev351-gc99924ff-master seems to work in Movies & TV, I can't get it to work on my iPad, probably because of the 1664kbps high bit rate, lower bit rate 7.1 ec3 seems also fine. But currently i don't really have proper 7.1 playback device around.

The 2mbps or less layers are usually MEL.
Found another FEL IMAX, First.Man.2018, 6606 kbps EL. Haven't checked it yet.
Why they all release in 2018?

those files are not coreless EC3.
maximum bitrate for a coreless EC3 is 1024kbps.

You are right, mp4box gives a lot of [AC3Dmx] error when importing the two 1024kbps eac3.
And interestingly, my iPad can play those two, but not the DEE 1536kbps one with core.

yeah, I'm pretty it's the same issue tsMuxer had and that it can easily be fixed.

Hi, RESET_9999. When will the AAC be?
I checked again last night and AAC 7.1 is played as 5.1 on LG TVs. So I won't add support for that....
But tell me exactly the ffmpeg command line you want me to use and I'll change the EC3 workflow to AAC and make a special version of my script just for you.

Someone should tell the mp4box devs that it cannot mux coreless 7.1 EC3 track properly. The audio stutter and it's probably exactly the same problem tsMuxer had before the latest version.
Then I could add proper 7.1 audio support to the mp4 workflows.
@jcdr428.... there was a mistake, the frame length must be calculated from the independent stream only -the frame length from the dependent substream must be discarded.
Please check tomorrow's release.
I understand you. Any TrueHD, DTS-HD and EAC3 JOC on AAC. But if you can mp4 lossless audio, think of something format? TrueHD+ac3 will it work with device supports at all?
I thank you, I will be able to donate $ or € as much as you want. It will only be in a private message.

now that the DV bug with cinema mode configuration is fixed on my C2, I can resume testing the internal player VS my x800m2.
With this new firmware, now L1 High contrast no longer clip(Internal & shield). Internal player looks perfect to me but I think I see a better L1 response on the x800m2 since the C2 update. Still quite different though.

Hi everyone,

I tried to keep up with this thread and I apologize if this was already asked:

Was the LG C2 bug L1/L2 metadata bug reported here in July with the UHD Blu-ray players (X700-X800M2) fixed by a later LG firmware upgrade?

Is there any other issue with Dolby Vision playback with LG C2 using these players as of now?

Thanks!

you can mux lossless audio (and 7.1 aac) with 7-1-1 but you have to demux your mkv files first.

When creating DV 8.1 from DV 5 and HDR10 files, is it necessary to match MaxCLL and MaxFALL values from the HDR10 version?

Hello all, from all my research on this topic, this massive thread seems to be referenced one way or another. Apologies if what I'm about to ask has been asked before, I have tried to search this thread and other places before posting.
I have an LG C6 (2016 Model) OLED TV, latest firmware, I do not have any other external players so I use the internal player via a USB HDD for all my files. I have managed to get a couple of Profile 5 DV files to play in DV this way (no green tint, actually plays). Using MediaInfo on the files, one is dvhe and the other is hev1. And from what I can tell, the frame rate has to be 23.976 fps (I have a 24fps file that refuses to play at all). Obviously they are also MP4.
I want to try and get Profile 8 DV videos to work as the backward compatibility with HDR10 is very useful, however, no matter what I try, I can not get a Profile 8 DV file to play in DV (It either falls back to HDR or just refuses to play).
My question is, does anyone know how to get a Profile 8 DV file to play in DV on the internal player of an LG C6 (or any 2016 OLED model)? Another mini question is would anyone know how to change the frame rate on my 24fps file to 23.976 fps without re-encoding?
Thank you

Quick update about the FireTV Stick 4K Max (2021).
It now seems to support CMv4.0 metadata. I just got an update to FireOS 7.6.0.3 (PS7603/3110).

Hopefully it was planned, since Amazon's new shows seem to use CMv4.0.

Nice...
1- does L1 now behaves like the Shield and C2 internal apps? (low contrast L1 has no effect on the x800m2)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJtwu1bwlug

2- Does it still have grey letterbox for cropped DV content?

3- Can it send LPCM 7.1 audio? (turns out the C2 can't passthrough LPCM 7.1 with the internal apps)

L1 is the same as before, it still has grey letterbox bars.
I don't know about the audio.

Though I thought the C2 internal player used to clip on that high contrast shot?
Now the C2 is just slightly brighter all the time, but it behaves the same as the Fire stick.
