all works except L8 (L3 not sure) on internal C8 and x800m2. So does it mean my setup doesnt support cmv4.0?
Yes that's what it means. It doesn't really matter since the content is rare currently, but it's backwards compatible anyways.

Quite surprised to see the C2 doesnt as well? and no L2??? what the hell?
The C2 supports CMv4.x, it just detects the DM v2 RPU and uses L8 instead of L2.
For actual content it's fine, since L8 is supposed to be present all the time for CM v4.x if there are trims.
You can think of L8 as the equivalent (but better, more flexible) to L2 trims.

So DMv1 (old version, 99.9% of content) still works fine on the C2.

right. I checked all my DV content RPU recently and only a few were cmv4.0 (about 10 titles) and one has a lot more L8(IIRC) metadata than the other. I'll try to find it again.

Ha , now I understand. thanks.
Since the firestick 4k max is very recent, I guess there's no hdmi device that supports cmv4.0 yet.

I rip the disc from Makemkv v 1.16.7. Should the backup be decrypted?
That depends on whether you check/uncheck the "Decrypt video files" box before back-up.

Maybe the new test file is ready?
Many thanks!
You can try the files here: https://mega.nz/file/xNcAVQhJ#ldoifbK6D ... dXkzw2HYgs

On a DM v1 (CM v2.9) supporting display/device: p81_cmv29_tests, p84_cmv29_tests.
On a DM v2 (CM v4.x) supporting display/device: p81_cmv40_tests, p84_cmv40_tests

LG C2:
- CM v2.9: L1, L2 works
- CM v4.x: L1 works, L2 alone doesn't work. L3 works, L8 works up to clip_trim, the rest makes no difference.

FireTV Stick 4K Max:
- CM v2.9: L1, L2 works
- CM v4.x: L1, L2 works, L3 and L8 don't.

CM v4.x L8 trims are also very different to L2.

There's a bug with the first 3s for HLG since I forgot to add the reshaping.
Many thanks, I've tested, but none of the trims work with Apple TV 4K 2021. I checked both in native and LLDV mode.
I checked it with more players and TVs, and the results are here: https://1drv.ms/x/s!Al2LkV-NKhf6dFuBUJl ... A?e=Kcgdf7

So the appleTV really only supports P5 dynamic metadata...

Do you still have the GTV Chromecast ? is L2 working in LLDV?
You're the second person to say the Shield has no L2 response in LLDV.

Unfortunately I don't have one, but I'm going to test an Ugoos this weekend, I think it will work similarly because of the Amlogic SoC.

There's some good info in there. I'm surprised the Shield supports it.

Well your TV doesn't support it either, so it makes sense.

Do you think this is a good solution to share the external hard drive that contains movie files between the x700 and the pc?

https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Selector- ... B01MXXQKGM

Press one button to switch to pc, copy and paste the bmdv folder to root, press the button to switch back to x700, watch the movie. Save the time from the constant unplugging/replugging when you want to change movies.

Hi all! Please help me. I'd like to edit L5 for frames between 0-2117 and 2590-4428. Can I make it with one JASON or I should use two? One for 0-2117 and one for 2590-4428? Thanks!

I assume all the frames within each group will have the same edits. i.e. 0-2117 0,0,0,0 and 2590-4428 0,0,280,280. If so, yes one .json should work.

One thing I'm worried is that connecting through the switch may cut down on the usb 2.0 speed and affect the bitrate of the movie. Is there a way to tell if a movie is not playing at maximum bitrate?
