Something I noticed just yesterday. A day or two ago I ripped
a bluray that was exhibiting the "stop and go" syndrome resulting
in a slow rip speed. Well yesterday, I did a different rip and it was
continuous and smooth with a really good speed.
The difference, the previous rip I was extracting the video and a DTS
core from the DTS-HD audio. Yesterday, The rip I did only contained
LPCM and AC-3 audio. As a check, I popped in the disc that had the DTS-HD
track again, and low and behold, it would start fine then after a few seconds
get into the "start and stop" mode.
Looks like DTS-HD tracks have something to do with slow and "start and stop" mode
rips. This is only based on 2 BD's, but has anyone else seen this?

i'm having the same issue. does anyone know of a way to get the new key entered? 1.6.4 and 1.6.5 are unusable on my system.caveman38 wrote:When I had the speed problem with V1.6.4 last month I reverted to 1.6.3 and everything was OK. Don't you have the "register" button on a dialog that pops up about version being too old?
You can also enter the key in 1.6.5 and then run any previous version. You may as well have multiple versions installed side by side.

i did not know about multiple installed versions - i'll do that rather than keep my system clock rolled back 2 months. thanks.

Since 1.6.5 I cannot go back to 1.6.3 and my HP 6 Blu-ray will take 8 hours to complete instead of 20 minutes.
Please, help- Or I am no longer able to use makemkv ...

mbryanr, I had the same issue with DVD. Stuck on 1x on WinXP 32 bit, but 7.8x on W7 64bit.
