Here is the firmware:

You can use mediacodespeedit to flash it.

Hi Coopervid Thanks for the info. i actually tried that before i posted when i use Mediacodespeedit 1.2.0.10 03, it has no option with that firmware to enable cross flash i have tried all 3 1.07 1.03 1.02 i read Mediacodespeedit only supported the G.x.W models because they are also Bdrom Writers and the GBC is just a reader but it is compatible to cross flash to the GGC which supports HD DVD roms

Does anyone know how to just simply edit the Firmware EXE to detect all drives its only looking for the GGC for Safety
or Perhaps rip the .bin from the exe and can use another flash tool

i Appreciate all help and Input

I just used google and remembered the old days. Please do so as well to find your solution.

It should work with the official flasher with 1.03 according to this info putting the drive in safe mode.

Your GBC drive id starts with DVDRWBD instead of the GGC prefix BDDVDRW ?
Take the drive into safe mode:

power off your PC
press the eject button and keep it pressed
power on your PC
wait 10 seconds
release the eject button
Now you can flash the GGC-H20N_1.03 firmware.
