Fresh from package, perfect condition

Post by Woodstock »

Sometimes things aren't the way you'd think they are, such as getting a sealed package containing a disk that looks like this:

Remarkably, this DVD read with a LOT of debug messages, but the drive was able to complete the copy.

Chrome users: You may have to access the image separately, because the hosting server does not have https set up. In that case, this is the link.

Where did you pick up that gem?

That is disk 2 of a set - The first disk, Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines, looked great; Those Daring Young Men in their Jaunty Jalopies is pictured. It had popped off the holder, and survived a trip through Amazon's fulfillment system. The scratches are from the holder.

I've received worse.

The case of my DVD set of Magic Knight Rayearth was crushed, but most disks were readable. At the time, there was limited availability and little hope of it being re-released, so I had to fill in for one disk with Netflix rental. Now it's available in a 25th-anniversary DVD and BD release...

But it is rare for a BD in this condition to rip without errors.
