Hi,

Bit of a pickle I'm in here. So I have a BP60NB10. It started with a firmware...not sure which one now but I think it was 1.03. I was trying to flash to BP60NB10_1.02 before then flashing to the 1.00. However, I seem to have accidentally flashed it to BH16NS60_1.02. Now I can't even eject it, and whenever I try to flash it to a different firmware it gives me an error code like 0x8f05c103 for example.

Can it be fixed?

Read the first post of this thread and try the recovery option.

Okay so that didn't work. I open it, select the drive, then click recover. The menu opens and I select the currently wrong BH16NS60_1.02 and then for the next box to repair it I selected the BP60NB10 1.02. It doesn't seem to make a difference if the enc box is checked. I hit start and tt gives me an error and says command produced error code 0x8f052400.

Am I doing something wrong?

NOTE 2: Edit the recovery file location to wherever you have stored the firmware file. If the recovery file location contains spaces, please add quotes eg: "recovery\file\location\DE_LG_BP60NB10_1.01_MK.bin"

Here is command #1:

sdftool --all-yes -d D: rawflash "main,nowait,nocheck,boot=MT1959 Boot BUP5" -i recovery\file\location\DE_LG_BP60NB10_1.01_MK.bin

First, thanks to the OP for providing an easy to use GUI flashtool and for the continuous awesome general support

I successfully cross-flashed an LG WH16NS40-NS50 1.05 sep 2020 (using enc option) to HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin (old folder in mk firmware pack). Happily backing up discs !

Ok, I just realized that the original BH16NS60 1.02 is an encrypted firmware (the MK won't be but could still be causing issues). Can you flash the drive with WH16NS60 1.02-MK so that it's totally away from any encrypted firmware then try the commands again. Start with BP60NB10 1.02-MK and work your way down. Also, no need for "enc?' at all.

Hi, I'm completely new to this, but wanted to try ripping some UHD discs, so I bought a LG WH14NS40 drive from Amazon UK which came from the US I think with 1.05 firmware.

I used the Sdftool Flasher

First flashed with \mk-firmware-pack-20200720\MK\HL-DT-ST\WH14NS40-NS50\HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH14NS40-NS50-1.05-NM00900-212005061444.bin

Used the same tool again and flashed with \mk-firmware-pack-20200720\MK\old\HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin

This was what I thought was the correct way to do it from reading a few other posts on here.

Now the drive won't read ANY discs, UHD, Blu-ray or DVD

Info from the panel in MakeMKV is now as follows: -
