I have seen a few DVDs and blurays that when the MKV file is ripped and then the MKV encoded to MP4(h.265) there is also infographics added to the video. Here is an example from the movie "Speed" on bluray.
Obviously I don't want those infographics. But I cannot seem to understand where they are coming from or how to disable them.
Here is a screen capture of the opened bluray in MakeMKV. Does anyone know what needs to be disabled to stop the infographics?
More information: I am using Handbrake to encode the MKV to MP4(h.265). I also have automatic foreign audio scan detection turned on so that it will hardcode subtitles into the video when a language other than English is being spoken. I tell you that just in case that may have something to do with it.

If you use MPV (https://mpv.io) or VLC (https://www.videolan.org/vlc/) to play the MKV file (not the encode from Handbrake) do you have the infographics?
It has been my experience that those sorts of things are in one of the subtitle tracks.

Same - Fifth Element is the one that always comes to mind. The "trivia track" is included as a subtitle track.
Using: ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.00

If I play the MKV file the infographics don't show. I ended up disabling all subtitles in handbrake and it solved the issue.dcoke22 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 7:48 amIf you use MPV (https://mpv.io) or VLC (https://www.videolan.org/vlc/) to play the MKV file (not the encode from Handbrake) do you have the infographics?

IIRC one of the subtitles has these infographics. You could verify this by demuxing all subs from the m2ts with TSMuxer and opening them in BDSup2Sub.
