What is the process for ripping discs with a newer AACS version error?

MakeMKV should've produced a dump (.tgz file) from that disc. Email it to svq@makemkv.com. Eventually, a key will be produced and when you try the disc again in a few days MakeMKV will download the necessary key.
I ran into this yesterday with something I got. Bummed that it has a newer AACS version. Only question would be since it's a set with six discs, would I need to submit all six discs, or just the first (or any one really) disc? I did submit the first disc, wasn't sure if I needed to do all of them.dcoke22 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 17, 2025 4:36 amMakeMKV should've produced a dump (.tgz file) from that disc. Sent in all six. Keep trying in the interim to see if anything's changed. I got the US vs UK version of this thinking "Hey, let's support local distribution". Dammit - if I had imported, probably be different.dcoke22 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 17, 2025 2:57 pmYou should submit the key for each disc as they're almost assuredly different for each disc.
Accidentally sending a duplicate to svq@makemkv.com isn't a problem
To let those know Blake's 7 The Collection on bluray has a new AACS. I'm checking each disc and will email them to svq@makemkv.com.dcoke22 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 17, 2025 2:57 pmYou should submit the key for each disc as they're almost assuredly different for each disc.
For popular movies, different batches of discs will have different keys and you'll see multiple people making different submissions for the same title.
Accidentally sending a duplicate to svq@makemkv.com isn't a problem. If you make a submission to the public keyDB you should try to avoid submitting a key that's already there since is wastes a volunteer's time.
