So I can't even get this one to show up on my computer BD drive, let alone get MakeMKV detect it. It's not a defective disc because it plays on a regular Blu-Ray player. And the drive isn't broken because all other discs play. Is there some newer copy protection on it?

Wan Pipel Cult Epics BD (2025) Issue
Re: Wan Pipel Cult Epics BD (2025) Issue
If this disk plays in a regular BluRay player then it sounds like a regular BluRay to me. Did MakeMKV generate a TGZ dump file for it? And if so, can you provide that dump here please?KimJongNumberUn wrote: ↑Thu May 29, 2025 5:19 pmSo I can't even get this one to show up on my computer BD drive, let alone get MakeMKV detect it. It might just need a gentle cleaning. Sometimes new discs can have left over lubricants from the manufacturing process or deposits from the plastic case off gassing. I gently clean discs with liquid dish soap, plenty of warm water, and light pressure from my fingertip. A light scrubbing, a thorough rise, and a good drying (really be sure the disc is dry; you don't want to spray the inside of your drive with water when the disc spins) often help.
