I just wanted to leave a thank you to Asmcom and team. I ordered my drive (Pioneer BDR-XD08TB External Top Loader) on March 18th and it arrived this morning, March 24th to the western United States. Drive worked instantly with the makemkv software. I already ripped my first 4k Blue-ray with the Pioneer drive using makemkv on my Arch Linux system. No issues, it all just worked.

I was hoping to order the Pioneer BDR-S13E-X but it is out of stock. Can you tell me if you will be getting more?

If there are none on the way, can you suggest an alternative? I have always liked a full external drive, but I guess that isn't really necessary. In fact, I'd perhaps be more interested in a quiet drive that rips 4k or standard Blu-Ray as quickly as possible. I'm just building a NAS and I have a lot of discs to back up.

New to ripping. I have a MacBook Pro with the M4 chip that I’ll be using. An external drive would be needed of course. I would like to rip my 4K, Blu-ray and the hundreds of 3D movies to a more stable digital format. Also would be nice if I could just watch a movie on the Macs display.

I saw you had nothing for sale on eBay and am hoping you might be getting more? I live in the state of Washington , US.

This one is way cheaper than the one pio suggested. Is there a difference?
Is the premature wear related to the vertical mounting, a problem on this or other drives or just the wear all drives experience?

I've seen the Pioneer BDR-UD04 on the store. Would this be fine for 4k UHD HDR discs?
Whats the main difference between this drive and some of the others that are twice, even nearly three times the price?
