Just a quick update.

After a brief e-mail chat with Asmcom I have ordered the Pioneer BDR-XS07TUHD with power supply and case at a very nicely discounted price via the link on here. I also opted for the lifetime licence for MakeMKV.

I have been provided with a tracking reference for Royal Mail and now all I have to do is wait delivery.

I will post again once I have used the drive.

Hello, I'm just posting here to leave a review.

I placed an order with Asmcom this past Monday for a few drives, and they arrived this past Thursday, which is exceptionally quick especially considering I'm all the way over in the US! Last night I tested the two internal drives with external enclosures (Pioneer BDR-S13E-X & ASUS BW-16D1HT) and they're both working well. The internal drive without an enclosure (Hitachi/LG BH-16NS40) will have to wait until next week to be tested when I build my new computer, but so far so good.

In addition to the fast shipment & functional products, Asmcom responded to my emails promptly, re-flashed the firmware on the Asus drive to my preferred version before shipping, and even saved me a very significant amount of money in shipping. I've been very satisfied with my purchase so far and would recommend Asmcom to anyone who is looking for good optical drives that are becoming very hard to find.

Also in the US, also managed to snag a BDR-S13E-X drive only, which saved me a nice chunk of change just buying the DX2 enclosure over here myself.

Holy moly this thing is quiet. I was nervous it wasn't working at first because I'm used to my older slimline archgon drive whirring like a helicopter.

So far, so good. Incredibly fast shipping, though the ordering process was a little funky, it still worked out in the end, so all is good.

Drive is working great. If I ever needed another drive (please no in this market...) I wouldn't hesitate to go with Asmcom again

oh, and for whatever reason, no $12 UPS payment / tariff / extra duties needed (so far at least)

The drive was delivered quickly and securely to Germany, including an external power supply and in perfect condition.
Customs clearance went smoothly, and the package arrived much faster than expected.

Technically, the drive works flawlessly:
MakeMKV immediately detects LibreDrive
UHD ripping starts without issues
Read speed is excellent
First title I tested ripped successfully without problems

The seller was communicative, transparent, and friendly throughout the entire process.
You can tell he knows exactly what matters when it comes to UHD-compatible drives – no firmware risks, no surprises.

In short: If you're looking for a true UHD-capable drive and want a hassle-free, plug-and-play experience, Asmcom is the way to go.
