There are quite a couple of reasons why this doesn't work.
I used DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin (with Enc ticked) only two days ago without any issue.CharlyTheSneaky wrote: ↑Sat May 17, 2025 1:19 pmHello, my drive is a BU40N and I'm having the same error code : 0x82052400
I've made sure that tray is closed, and no disc are inside
Drive Information
OS device name: E:
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BU40N
Revision: 1.05
Firmware date: 2124-04-23 13:47
Bus encryption flags: 17
Highest AACS version: 77
LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
So when flashing with SDF (v1.3.6), I've used these 3 files : DE_LG_BU40N_1.00.bin | DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin | DE_flash_HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_WH16NS40_1.02_NS50.bin
However, none worked, I've tried opening and closing, restarting, going to 1.3.5 version of sdf, nothing seems to fix it
Also the date you see on the "firmware date" is not a typo from my part, it is really written "2124"
What could be the issue? Should I send my drive back?
Thanks!
Ok so it worked but on SDF 1.3.5 not 1.3.6 but thanks for the heads up!
this is called learningCoopervid wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 5:52 pmThere is no 3.11 to flash for the BW-16. What did you do? Flash the BC-12? That's bad! Try again another flash to BW16 3.10 without enc checked.jlsohio24 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 4:54 pmOK, I got it working with ver 3.11.
LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
Firmware type: Patched (microcode access re-enabled)
Firmware version: 3.11
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes
Is that ok to have 3.11?
Bad = you can't burn BD's because the BC12 is a combo and can only read BDs but not burn. So flash to BW-16 3.10.
I hate when people are doing things they have no clue what they are doing.
