Bricked BH16NS40

Hoping someone can help me out here. I bought what was advertised as an LG WH14NS40 and in my excitement jumped straight into flashing it to WH16NS60 1.02MK. The flash failed and after a couple of back and forths with the command line i pulled the drive out of my machine and it's actually an LG BH16NS40.

Is this recoverable or should i write this off to bad judgement?

What do you mean recoverable. You said the flash failed, so shouldn't the drive still be on whatever firmware was on it when you got it?

Sorry poor description there. It did work but returned an error. The drive now won’t open and MakeMkv is showing BOOT next to the drive name instead of the full drive name and the info is very limited compared to what it used to be. I’m just setting up a windows machine to try the sdftool.

Just got the windows machine set up.

SDF Gui says it's not the right platform to flash it. I've managed to flash the original firmware back onto it using a tool from the LG site.

MakeMKV is now showing the below. If it rips OK I'll leave it as is. I bought it off eBay where it's been mislabled so i'll try and get my money back. Not what i was intending to buy. I already have a drive that can read blu-rays. I was looking for a new UHD drive. I had the LG BU40N previously and it was fine but the form factor annoyed me.

Would you have a recommended drive to go for?
