Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
Hello, I'm something of an idiot and if it's at all possible I was wondering if someone could give me like a 123 "do this" tutorial for flashing my drive? I bought an ASUS BW-16D1HT and I understand the basic steps, but I really don't want to accidentally brick this thing. Sorry if this is egregious, I'm new to this whole endeavor.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
Good afternoon,
I bought a BP50NB40 running version 1.00, see screenshot https://i.imgur.com/gcF4EhM.png. I was told that this should be able to rip 4Ks without the need for flashing. However, when i insert a 4k, MakeMKV doesn't recognize the disc and simply states that there are no disc. Does that mean I have to flash the firmware to make it work?
If so, could you direct me to all the firmwares needed to make this run.
Appreciate all your help in advance.

Also curious since it's listed in the post and is the reason i bought it. Does that mean I cannot burn 4K with the drive?Billycar11 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 7:31 pmSorry that drive is to old don't flash itcrow. wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 12:02 amGood afternoon,

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
Your drive can't read UHDs and it is low quality to burn discs. Either skip burning or get a Pioneer. Even then burns will be bad since media has gone south.

Hi guys,
I bought a Pioneer BDR-XS07TUHD risking that it would be revision 1.03 which it is. Is it possible to get into a libredrive mode or not?
