BH16NS40 back to original firmware possible?

Post by misfits73 »

I have a BH16NS40 flashed with WH16NS60_1.02_MK firmware.
Of course it's listed a a WH16NS60 and never had a problem with whatever i threw in.

Now I want to sell it so i was wondering if there is a way to go back to BH16NS40 with 1.01 firmware that came with when i purchased it, so the seller will get exactly what's shown on the product tag.

Browsing at the forum but no luck

Could someone help?

This is counterproductive.

Thanks for your reply.
I'll be clear with the buyer, if he wants to flash it again for the sleep bug etc that's fine.
I just want to sell a BH16NS40, not a WH16NS60

Can you help?
Thanks

Yes of course you can flash back to stock if you want to sell or upgrade. I can see why coopervid finds this counter productive. Why would you not sell the drive on the firmware it is on? WH16NS60_1.02_MK is the best firmware for this drive.

If you really want to take a backward step. Just flash to this firmware

HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BH16NS40-NS50-1.05-NM00600-212005061331

Can be found here. Look under MK directory.

https://www.makemkv.com/download/mk-fir ... 200720.zip

5_mk-firmware-pack-20th July 2020/MK/HL-DT-ST/BH16NS40-NS50

Ensure the drive is an LG model with the SVC code NS50 and was manufactured after 2015. The drive platform should be MT1959 and you flash at your own risk. If you want to be safe contact Billycarr11 or martmcnuts both the number 1 for flashing drives on this forum.

Kind Regards

No point in going back to stock firmware. Just tell the buyer it is already flashed for UHD compatibility and is ready to go!
Cheers :D
