Hey charbro, the 8A22 variant of
Dogma has been added to the public keydb.
If you haven't previously configured MakeMKV to utilise the public keydb you can follow my instructions
here or use SamuriHL's utility for Windows (

Have you actually downloaded the public keydb so that MakeMKV can use it to decrypt your disc?
As I wrote in the post which immediately preceded yours:

I have added the latest public keydb as of a few minutes ago and Make MKV still fails to open this disc. Any advice as to what I am doing wrong?

Put a cert on your site. This isn't the 90s and we shouldn't be using http, port 80 anymore.

If I had to guess:
1. You may have failed to unzip the public keydb
2. You might have put the keydb.cfg file in the wrong folder (it should be next to any generated disc dump files)
3. If you are using macOS you may have to rename the keydb.cfg file to KEYDB.cfg or KEYDB.CFG
4. You could also have a distinct variant of
Dogma which is currently not supported by the public keydb
The public keydb currently includes these three variants of Dogma:
0x9BEFA0FF5D828F6E11984F205277E0BFAF537096
0x5CB02030A95284A07D23B3009011517C8218037C
0xA1A22E586203E3EDAA6C57A5FFC5FB19FABE5F27
You can check your particular variant by calculating the SHA-1 hash of the Unit_Key_RO.inf file within the AACS folder of your disc.
If it doesn't match one of the three I listed, feel free to
follow the submission template and post your disc dump
here

I see the problem. I put it in the ".MakeMKV\" folder following instructions from one of the other posts here, not realising I had changed the location of MakeMKV's data directory. Thank you!

I was preparing to do that before I saw that I couldn't as Pioneer drives are not valid for this and to do the submission to MakeMKV only, which I did (both drives I have are Pioneer). I figured my only option was to wait until MakeMKV had taken a look or someone with a non-Pioneer drive submitted a dump file to the public submission thread, which I saw someone had.
A separate question, I have another disc which I submitted to MakeMKV, but has not appeared in the public key submission thread. Since I have a Pioneer and cannot submit my dump files, is there a way to request someone with a non-Pioneer drive to submit a file to the thread for a specific disc, or should I just exercise some patience?

Great to hear.

Feel free to submit your Pioneer generated disc dump file to the thread. Just make sure you follow the submission template. There is a chance that your disc dump may be usable if a 'sibling' disc variant which uses the same media key is already known to the public keydb.
Unfortunately there are some drives like the Pioneer BDR-UD04 which have been completed restricted from non-MakeMKV usage by the current version of LibreDrive. Even if a sibling disc is known to the keydb, these disc dump files are absolutely useless.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it isn't my site so I can't act on your polite request. This was previously discussed on the Doom9 forum and my recollection is that the hosting provider doesn't allow SSL/TLS for the free accounts.
