Can't decrypt Ave Mujica 1st Album Blu-ray (MKB_v82)

Post by kkyon »

Hi,

I'm trying to decrypt the Blu-ray disc of "Ave Mujica 1st Album Completeness [Limited Edition with Blu-ray]".

However, MakeMKV gives the error:
"This disc uses newer version of AACS protection"
and fails to open the disc.

I have submitted the AACS dump file generated by MakeMKV:
MKB_v82_OVXX_11003_D6B2.tgz

Could you please take a look and consider supporting this disc in a future update?

Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately, this dump cannot be used:

Code: Select all

003306:0000 Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
I'm not sure why not, though. AFAIK your drive should support LibreDrive... Is this drive new? Does MakeMKV's "Info" window say that LibreDrive actually is enabled?

I am wondering whether you need to flash your drive's firmware...

Thanks for the reply! Here is the drive info from MakeMKV:

Drive Information
Manufacturer: BUFFALO
Product: Optical Drive
Revision: BN14
LibreDrive status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
AACS version: 82

It seems that my drive supports LibreDrive but is not yet enabled.
Is it possible to flash the firmware to enable LibreDrive? If so, do you have a recommended firmware for this drive?

Thanks again for your help!

Yes, it can be flashed to enable libredrive and UHD readability. I assume this is a slim drive? If so, flash it to LG BU40N 1.03-MK. Once done, you can try the disc again.
Cheers :D

Thanks for the confirmation!

I’ve already flashed my BUFFALO slim drive to LG BU40N 1.03-MK successfully — LibreDrive is now enabled and recognized in MakeMKV. However, the disc still cannot be decrypted, and MakeMKV says the volume key is unknown.

Update: Just realized I mistakenly posted in the UHD section — apologies!
Also, the disc I was testing is not Ave Mujica but Timelesz.
I’ve submitted the correct dump in a separate thread. Thanks again!

Looking forward to any updates if a key becomes available. Appreciate your support!

Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?
