The D0CE, CB18, and A98E set of The Penguin have been added to the public keydb.

If you haven't previously configured MakeMKV to utilise the public keydb you can follow my instructions here or use SamuriHL's utility for Windows (Link)

Submitted different dumps for my copy:

MKB20_v77_The_Penguin_Season_1_Disc_1_1826
MKB20_v77_The_Penguin_Season_1_Disc_2_A462
MKB20_v77_The_Penguin_Season_1_Disc_3_66BE

KeyDB works in the meantime for them.

I submitted those two days ago too, but they still aren't working. Did you ever get yours to work? Usually, it works within hours of submission.

I just used the KeyDB for now. Works fine with that.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure how to do that. I loaded the KeyDB_Helper.exe downloaded from the link above, but it didn't recognize the disc ID for disc 1. How do I use KeyDB?

You have to use the "Synchronize" option to download the up-to-date DB file. Then re-run MakeMKV and it should work.

Anyone else still having issues with The Penguin 4K? I've manually loaded the key several times over the last couple of weeks and MKV still says the volume key is unknown on all three discs. Same dump as listed above so it should work.

The keydb definitely worked for me on all 3 discs without issue.

Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?

If you provide the disc dump files it shouldn't be too tricky to determine whether your particular discs should be supported by the public keydb. If they are currently supported, I'd guess you may have misplaced the keydb file or failed to unzip the downloaded file.
