Hello everyone.
I bought the VERBATIM 43888
Ultra HD 4K External Slimline Blu-ray Writer
USB 3.2 Gen 1 with USB-Ctm Connection
I tried to extract the film Blu Ray 4K UHD "Through the Looking Glass (1976)".
I found the following error:
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED' occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom0'
Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\ALL/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v77_MEL-003UHD_4059.tgz
LibreDrive compatible drive is required to open this disc - video can't be decrypted.
Failed to open disc
Here's the info…

Re: Failed to open disc.
You're going to need to flash your's drive's firmware to enable LibreDrive before MakeMKV can handle your UHD disk.NatalyaI684 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 9:20 amLibreDrive Information

Re: Failed to open disc.
The drive needs to be flashed to support LibreDrive before it will rip 4K UHDs. Fortunately, since your drive is a BU40N it is fairly easy and straightforward to do. The Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide has instructions and links to the SDFtool Flasher and the firmware needed. The guide recommends:
BU40N on any Firmware directly to > BU40N 1.03MK
BU40N on any Firmware directly to > BU40N 1.03MK

Re: Failed to open disc.
Thank you for helping me.
I am a novice in computer science.
The flasher sdftool tool seems easy to use but I do not understand which steps to flash the firmware
and which bin file to choose.
