Re: Dump submitted for A Working Man
If you also attach the dump here, we may also be able to add the record to the KeyDB as well.
Cheers

I have Pioneer drives and have been informed the dump file from those is insufficient

Depends on your drive model. Dumps from most Pioneer's are still ok, just not the UD04 and 211/S11 series, I think.rkhollister wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 3:10 pmI have Pioneer drives and have been informed the dump file from those is insufficient

Re: Dump submitted for A Working Man
The complete record for the FA3E variant of A Working Man has been added to the public keydb.
If you haven't previously configured MakeMKV to utilise the public keydb you can follow my instructions here or use SamuriHL's utility for Windows (Link)
With regards to the public keydb, Pioneer disc dumps are generally not sufficient for creating entries from scratch.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 12:11 amDepends on your drive model. There are some possibilities when a "sibling" disc which uses the same media key (MK) is already present in the public keydb. This can occur due to regional variations. In such a circumstance it is possible to create a complete record for your target disc as long as the volume ID (VID) is not obfuscated in the dump file. As you noted, this is currently known to be the case for at least the UD04, 211, and S11 series.
For the FA3E variant of A Working Man there was no prior record of a disc with the same media key, so a dump from an LG/Asus drive was required.
If the media key was already known, a disc dump from a Pioneer XS07U could've been used to generate a complete keydb record. But the same could not be said for a disc dump produced by a Verbatim 43888 with a UD04 drive.

Ripping now - thx!
Re: Dump submitted for A Working Man
What did you do to get it to rip? im still getting "The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted" message. Ive used both a Pioneer and LG drive.
